Snow Day Yesterday

which meant that I had more time to study for my midterms and take pictures of Cinnamon in the snow. The entire time outside, he didn't move. I'm not sure what he hates more, the parka or the snow, but it's only a max of 3 min. and then he's back in eating treats. Snow wasn't really deep... it was the ice that kept us out of school.

My Mom's Birthday Present

is me cleaning my room.
*While it is extremely messy, there is no food lying around. No nasty little cockroaches running around. It's really all just papers - tests from 10th grade, maps from DC trip, SAT stuff, etc.

Before:

Happy 48th Birthday, Mom!

Thanks for always being there for me. I love you.

My 1st Sleepover Ever

at a non-relative's house was last night and spent 3 hours playing Settlers of Catan. What was particularly funny was that my host, who is easily offended by sexuality, admitted that the cover disgusted her. Once I realized what she was talking about, I couldn't stop laughing because only someone as paranoid as her would notice it.

Alas, I didn't win, which wouldn't have been so bad if the girl who did hadn't been so utterly clueless about everything. On the other hand, I was as sneaky as can be and planned it all out, and I still couldn't beat her. I did end up a not too distant second, though, thanks to the wheat cards. So close, yet so far from world domination.

The best part of staying over at Liz's house was cuddling with Heidi, a sweet cocker spaniel x poodle. She know how to chill.

So this is Inauguration Day

and I'm flabbergasted at the hype around Mrs. Obama's fashion. I even saw website praising her hairstyle, and the media's calling the 1st Family's $400 clothing budget friendly. Gork. The My Country 'Tis of Thee rendition didn't impress either... you only have to look at the youtube comments to see what many thought about it.

Cinnamon doesn't really have an opinion about the whole debacle, as long as he keeps getting fed.
